Frequently asked questions
Honest answers to the questions people ask most before they start. No jargon, no empty promises.
Is my birth data private?
Yes. Your birth date, time, and place are yours. We use them only to calculate your chart — we don't sell them or share them with advertisers. You can edit or delete your details at any time in settings.
How accurate is this?
We calculate planetary positions with the same astronomical library (Swiss Ephemeris) that professional astrologers rely on, so the underlying math is very reliable. How useful the result is for you depends on how precise your details are — an accurate birth time matters most.
Do I need my exact birth time?
Not necessarily. Without a time you'll still see your planet and sign positions. The time unlocks your houses, your ascendant, and some of the finer detail. If you don't know it, you can leave it out — we'll simply tell you which parts are less certain as a result.
Is astrology meant to predict the future?
No. Your chart doesn't tell you what will happen. It points to tendencies, patterns, and moments that can be a mirror for reflecting on yourself. The choices stay yours — we treat astrology as a tool for self-reflection, not as fate.
How do I get started?
Create an account and enter your birth date, ideally with the time and place too. In a few steps you'll see your chart and your first explanations. Everything is written in plain language, so you don't need to know anything about astrology beforehand.
Do I need to know astrology to use this?
No. Astrolab is built for people who haven't studied astrology. We explain technical terms in everyday language as we go, and you can always ask for more if something catches your interest.
Does this replace professional help?
No. Astrolab is a space for inspiration, self-reflection, and a little unwinding — not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal, or financial help. For important or sensitive decisions, always turn to a qualified professional.
